ReplyDeleteAs for Rusty's id believing that he could have had any of the women, I interpreted it as pure fantasy. The id is not looking to spread truth and reason -- the id is all about pleasure and happiness of oneself and would never acknowledge that Rusty's a loser in love, preferring instead to live in a fantasy of Rusty being a ladies' man.
